HOW TO Use
Step 1
Always follow ideal medical conditions & aseptic techniques when dressing a wound
Step 2
Irrigate and clean the wound site to prepare the wound bed
Step 3
Pick a Suitable size, Place Suprasorb A + Ag loosely in the wound. For deep or gaping wounds, loosely insert Suprasorb A + Ag Packing Rope.
- Hold in place with an appropriate secondary dressing.
- The intervals at which Suprasorb A + Ag must be changed are determined by the treating physician. Depending on the level of exudate, the wound dressing can remain on/in the wound for up to 7 days.
MODE OF ACTION
- It has a soft and supple wound covering that readily conforms to any wound bed, releasing its antibacterial effect on the wound bacteria .
- The silver ions shield the dressing from bacterial contamination for up to 3 days, reducing microbial load in the wound bed, largely benefiting wounds that are infected/ at risk of infection.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Heavily exuding wounds that are superficial or deep (including cavities), infected or at risk of infection. E.g. pressure
ulcers, venous/arterial leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, post-operative wounds, skin donor and skin grafting sites.
